pH Release 120 capsules

Each capsule contains 300mg of potassium citrate and 200mg of magnesium citrate. These minerals counter balance calcium in muscle contractions. Calcium contracts, magnesium and potassium relax. Citrate is an organic acid forming an ionic bond that greatly increases the absorption of these two minerals during digestion. Citrate enters the Kreb cycle at just the point to speed up the metabolism of lactic acid. The result is muscle tightness and soreness that relaxes and clears more rapidly. Great for after exercise, headaches and other situations where tight muscles and buildup of lactic might be at cause.

Both magnesium and potassium are lost from the body in response to alcohol and caffeine consumption. Excessive sweating can also speed up the loss of these electrolyte minerals.

The supplement name derives from the mild effect these minerals have moving the pH of blood and urine to be less acidic.
